The Sisters of the Resurrection are women of prayer and women of the Church. We bring a simple message of hope to those who have forgotten that God is alive and with them always. We bring a message of comfort to the sorrowful and confused. We bring a message of healing to those who suffer from life’s many hurts. We so deeply believe in our call to bring this message to others that we echo the words of our Foundress, Blessed Mother Celine, to those who tried to dissuade her efforts to begin the Community:

"We shall be Sisters of the Resurrection or nothing at all.”

This Paschal vision of hope spurs us on to carry our own personal crosses so that we too may arrive, like Jesus, at Resurrection and Glory. Thus, in dying to self each day, we rise with Christ to newness of life.

Called to be vibrant witnesses of the Resurrection and empowered by the presence of the Holy Spirit, our lives are rooted in a deep prayer life. We take the time each day, both communally and personally, to drink deeply of our relationship with God in order to share with others and to encourage others to do the same. Thus, all that we do is seen as an offering of love to God and God’s people. Quite simply, we are women of prayer because prayer most certainly puts us in touch with Christ.

“The harvest is rich but the laborers are few, so ask the Lord of the harvest to send laborers to his harvest.” (Mt 9:37-38)

Resurrection Vocation Prayer

O Risen Lord, the Way, the Truth and the Life! Make us faithful followers of the spirit of Your Resurrection. Grant that we may be inwardly renewed; dying to ourselves in order that You may live in us. May our lives serve as signs of the transforming power of Your Love. Use us as Your instruments for the renewal of society, bringing Your life and love to all people, and leading them to Your Church. This we ask of You, Lord Jesus, living and reigning with the Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God Forever. Amen.

(Prayer composed by Rev. Francis Grzechowiak, C.R)
